As our business grows, we find it necessary to improve practices accordingly. In April 2007, Web Mentors hired a professional team to provide technical support during normal business hours. Since over 60% of all support calls we receive are email related, our primary concern was finding a team that would handle most email questions promptly, courteously and professionally.
From all the feedback I received to date from clients who called the support line, the results are very favorable. Of the calls that were received in the last two months, 70% were resolved by the technical support person on the call, while the other 30% required escalation (usually resetting a password, or in one case creating a new account).
As you will no doubt realize should the need to call support ever arise, our team is based out of India. While there might be different quality standards with Indian firms (and U.S. firms for that matter), our team is top notch. Each technical support rep speaks clear English and either has a technical degree or has completed an extensive in-house technical training course. If at any time you are not happy with your experience, you should immediately ask to speak to a supervisor who will promptly handle your matter.
